happy new year everyone!

I hope everyone had a great new years! I had to work and all in all it was a good night despite two tables one inparticular! They had a package deal going on.. 65 dollers four course meal(lobster. filet mignon, surf n turf, and a few others) and open bar for 3 hours. I had a four tables section and they way the reserved the tables...ugh! but after they got some drinks in them all was good! other then my two top who apparently was one of the managers friends who from the get go were assholes! so but they really were theor nose was so far up in the air! i treated all my tables the same. and what they give me.... ten dollars! all that running around i did for them ..more then any of my tables! okay so i just had to vent! other then that i made out good. even the owner said something to me tonight on how happy he was of my service! Hope everyone enjoyed their night. happy new years!

Christmas eve at grandmom corneys

What a great Christmas!

I have been meaning to come on here sooner and post this picture along with how our Christmas went! But as you know life gets pretty darn busy with a five month old! So let me back track! On our days leading to x-mas our excitenment was getting pretty crazy! I was so thankful to find out I had off x-mas eve. Of course I didn't find out until like 3 days before hand! ugh!! but the outcome was what I wanted to see! Sophia and I went to my parents house and opened a ton of gifts they gave her! It reminded me of when I was little! I loved everything they got her. I cant pick out my favorite! Actually I think that chair is! It is soo helpful! I was also shocked to see what they have gotten me! I got a canon camcorder I was thrilled it even takes pictures too! now I just need to figure out how to set the darn thing up on the comp. I am having some trouble! ughh. I have off tomorrow so hopefully i can take some time and figure it out. i have so many cute videos already! Its so neat I can turn the screen around so that she can look at herself when i am taping her! So anyways After we opened up all the gifts we went to my grandmom corneys. my grandmom wiley joined us which was very nice having her there with us since I was not going to be seeing her x-mas day. Sophia had a really good nap inthe afternoon before going to my parents so she was pretty good. Once we got to my g-moms only my sunt debbie was there. Once everyone came Sophia had her eye on everyone. Going from one arm to another. She especially had a liking to her "2nd cousin" Oliva. Liv was too cute! Everywhere Sophia was she was right next to her. When I had to change sophias diaper we went into my grandmoms room and it was sophia liv and i sitting on the bed talking and sophia was all smiles and laughing. I then had to feed her and liv asked if she could help. So i had liv sit on the reclinner in the den and i put sophia in her lap and she fed her the bottle. they looked adorable.

I can tell liv is a great "helper" for corinne! We are going to have to get the girls together! especially since char and soph are so close in age! As the night grew Sophia started getting really tired. I wish she wasnt because my cousin diana finally got out of work~those darn dollar tree customers! She had came with dom and I really wanted to get them two together and interact but it was late and the little girl was turning into a tired monster! we'll just have to do it when its earlier. so we ate and then did out pollyanas. My pollyana was corinne and she gave me this awesome necklace. its silver and its a cirlce with sophias name on it and her birthstone. i love it. i got soo many compliments already. its perfect! sophia had my cousin ricky. which i just reminded myself i need to call him and thank him because he was not there for me to do so. he got sophia these rolling balls that have neat textures on them and also a pink glow worm. she really likes both of them. especially the glow worm. i have a cute video of that. hopefully you'll be able to see it soon. so after we did our exchanges it was pretty late so my dad took sophia and i home. once we got home she decided to wake up! but not for long. before we went to bed we put her gifts down under the tree. once we all went to bed i felt like we just had closed our eyes and then it was time to wake up! it was just about 6 am and we heard voice down stairs! ughh Joeys brother steven had his kids sleep over they are 2 and 13 and they were all downstairs opening up gifts. so of course sophia didnt want to go back to bed! so we headed down stairs and then our long day started! she was great she sat in her little chair that my parents gave her and she held onto wrapping paper in one hand and her toy in the other her smile didnt leave her face! after opening up all the gifts we had breakfast and then started opening up the toys. which one to play with first! we were all soo tired but there was so much going on nobody could take a nap! later on that day my grandmom wiley and my aunt audrey came over to give sophia their gifts. my aunt audrey gave her an adorbale wooden sled that has padding on it for the snow. its too cute i cant wait for the next snow fall. its ashame all the rain washed it away. so instead joe had been pulling her around in the house. she loves it! my grandmom got her tons of cute little outfits that she will grow into.

so all in all we had such a great christmas sophia now had soooo many toys to play with! oh yea and my aunt debbie gave us the jumper thing that hangs on the door way. sophia thinks its really neat that she can just hang there and move around with nothing next to her. it makes her feel like she really is standing in her own!

Now that x-mas is over was relaized we really next a toy box for her! so I think cupid is going to be looking for one for her!

we are so excited!

We so can not wait for christmas this year! Other then a few last min gifts we still have to get Sophia is set! I can not wait to put the gifts under the tree and wake up christmas day to show her what santa brought! Even though she is too young to understand it is still exciting! She loves helping us wrap gifts especially when we give he some of the gift wrap!

ho ho hoooo

On saturday we took Sophia to the rec center that is right around the corner from us for "brunch with santa". This would be our "trial run"! We had her in a cute little x-mas outfit and stood in line with all of the other kids. I walked her up to santa and placed her in his arms and she was great not even a peep! So we knew she'd be okay for the "mall santa"! After eatting brunch and walking around and Sophia staring at all the little kids running around we had walked back home. When we got home we relaxed for awhile and then her cousins came over. Sophia loves when her cousins come over because Rosie who is 13 carries her around, etc. it was so cute i was in our room watching tv and i heard the two of them talking to eachother and i walked in the door way of the room they were in and rosie was sitting at the comp holding sophia. it looked so cute sophia was sitting there so still looking at the comp and then up to rosie. after a little while i took sophia and we went down stairs to plau with angie who will be 2 x-mas eve. she was playing with her little dolls. there like barbies but smaller. alot smaller! so i sat sophia on the sofa like a "BIG GIRL" and gave hera doll to hold and we all played dolls for a little bit sophia loved it she felt like such a big girl.
Today was the day for the "mall santa"! We dressed her in a little x-mas dress that had white fur around the kneck and around the arms and her little white stocking. We stood in line and she was staring at all the things around santa. It was then our turn... joe and I stood behind the lady with the camera calling her name she did soo good once she looked at santa she didnt stop looking at him. hopefully next year she will be as good! we saw plenty of kids crying! we picked the picture we liked the most it was a hard choice because the one of her looking up at santa was also good! but the lady said i can always come back and get that one. there were so many people at the mall during lunch she was staring at these two older ladies making face with her mouth as they were eatting! she wasnt even blinking! While we were there we got her stocking with her name on it. now we just have to get a bunch of goodies to stuff it. That should be fun! Tonight we will be wrapping her gifts i am soo excited i got the cutest wrapping paper~pink (of course!) with x-mas tress , little cats on it and x-mas balls.
I have been working alot with in the last couple of weeks with my normal days off (tuesday and wednesday) so i took off today, but i picked up a banquet on wed afternoon. When i was feeding sophia her breakfast this morning i could not believe how well she did with everything. i had her small bowl of rice cereal and a small bowl of her sweet pot. (this morning was the first time i actually got to feed her them since i was home.) she ate everything! and she wasnt even messy after she finished that i offered her her bottle and she ate some of that too! i am excited for dinner tonight! hopefully she does well with that again! I am going to try and out the picture of her and santa online so that everybody can see it.

4 month check up!

So today was sophias 4 month check up! she did wonderful. she weighs 13.10 pounds 50% and is just about 26 inches long 90%! she does have a little rash down there that the dr gave me a script for. we started feeding her cereal last weekend and the rice cereal is giving her soft poopies so we might have to try oatmeal instead but then she told us try start on veggies!! ALREADY i said! i dont wont to start yet! she is getting big to fast! aww my little girl is growing up! she got her shots and cried and was cranky when i got home but i then took her on a walk since its so nice out and now she is in a good mood! i fed her some cereal and the rest of her bottle she is slowy eatting but now she is laying on my lap staring at the comp!
in jan we have to go back to the dr to get the flu shot for h1n1and then feb shell get another round of vaccs and i think thats when i'll get her ears peirced! she has now found her thumb anbd likes it in her mouth! she loves holding her toes too!

SWAP MAMAS!

So I was on this one website called what to expect when your expecting and I was on there the whole time I was preg. just searching different things and posting blogs,etc So I had met this girl named jen after I posted a blog on the coupons I had. So after that we had started emailing eachother and then got connected on facebook. So anyways her daughter is acouple months older then Sophia. Since I only use similac formula and she uses good start I started sending her all my coupons for that to her and she did the same for simailac. She has also sent me a package of diapers that her daughter grew out of! how nice! I offered to pay her,etc but she said that since i have helped her out so much with everything I send her! isn't that so nice! So anyways she had introduced me to this website called swap mamas. it took me a day or two to get the hang of it but now that i kknow what i am doing it is a wonderful website. you can swap anything!! The only thing I have been swapping so far is coupons but i need a camera so that i can take some pictures of her clothes,etc and then swap for something else. its really neat they have rules such as if you area beginer then you have to send out your swap within ten days and then the person receiving it can then send there swaps after they get it. do i think every one shpould check this site out.
I have become the Coupon mom ever since sophia has came! i love clipping coupons and then seeing how much i can save. so far my biggest same on coupons was 117.00 at shop rite! the other day i went to babies r us and i saved 64 dollars in coupons! i get all excited and happy when they telme i know i am weird ! their just jealous~!

loves to talk!

Sophia just loves to talk....just like her mom! She is laying here on the floor and moving her arms and legs around like crazy! talking,laughing, and making these high pitched noises! i look down at her and she has this smile on her face...she is soo happy right now! whenever i talk to her she is quiet and then when i stop she begins to talk again it's like she is responding to my remarks! too cute! before we came upstairs to go on the comp i was feeding her reading a baby mag and she was so into all the pictures. when she finished eating i cont reading the mag to her and she just flayed there listening. she is constantly rolling over to her belly. she has been doing it for some time now but it seems like she is doing it all the time and its so much faster! she used to get frustrated when she turned over to her belly but now she is happy~accomplished

What am I thankful for?

I am so very thankful for many things in my life right now. Our families have helped us out in so many ways.

Sophia is what I am really thankful for she has changed our life in so many ways. Without Sophia in our life I can honestly say I do not know where we would be right now. She is my life~our life. She is the best thing that could of ever happened in our lives. I love you Sophia.

(And no she is not eatting the turkey! Just licking it!)

I would like to say happy Thanksgiving to everyone and I hope you all enjoyed your day.

halloween pics!

hmm so what's new?

nothing is really new! umm Sophia has a slight dry cough, but everything else is fine eatting and going to the bathroom is fine no fever. so i called the doctor today and they asked me all these questions and told me to try acouple things this weekend. and if it isnt gone then we'll come in sometime next week. she has her four month check up on the1 of dec so we'll see if we have to go in sooner. but other then that she is great!

finally sunshine

So it's another day that will be filled with sunshine, fresh air, and birds chirping. Not house lights, stuffy vent air, and cartoon songs playing the the background! Yest I had to work..of course it was finally the nicest day in weeks and I had to be stuffed indoors. But at least Sophia got to enjoy the great day. And that is what she will be doing today and so will I! Although I have work at 6 tonight we have a full day planned. I wanted to get started a little bit earlier! but yet again we are getting off to a late start, but we are all dressed and ready. Sophia Joe and I are taking Sophia on the train to Philly! I can not wait! Were going to take advantage of this wonderful day. I wish I had the camera so I could take a picture of Sophia she is wearing her new little tights that are pink with dark pink and purple stripes on the bottom part of herlegs and her little jean overall dress with a long sleeve white onsie. oh yea and her little pink converse looking shoes! too cute! Alrighty well I think I hear her calling for me! she must of woken up from her cat nap!

Stir Crazy!

We hate these cold wet gloomy days! Sophia has become so antsy since we haven't been able to go outside I can not wait till it's nice out so we can go for our walks!

too big for ones!

Well, this is it..it's the last couple of ones diapers and the last couple we will be using! She is just getting too big for them! Time to move on to the two's! awww my little munchkin is getting pudgy! It's too cute whenver she finishes eating her tummy hangs over her diaper!
Hmm so what is new? Sophia has been talking to the extreme! The pitch in her voice is so loud at time! We are constantly laughing! Sometimes she stops and gives us a look and then goes back to talking! Yest we had her out the entire day she was great no prob at all.
Right now she went with joey to the drs because I have work at 6. the house is so silent I just dont know what to do with my time! well, I do know what I can do, but I feel like being lazy and enjoy the silence while I can before I gotta get ready for work.

Since Sophia like to be nosey all day and no take her naps I decided to put her in her chair while I caught up on some emails yest morning.

tummy time

Recently we have been watching Sophia try and turn on her tummy. She would have no prob. it's just her arm gets in the way! Once I see her trying to move I then help her and remind her of her arm! I know she can do it without a prob because whenever she is sleeping she ends up on her tummy! It's just when I watch her she has the prob! Once we place her on her tummy we then move her arms and she will lay there for some time expecially if the tv is on and she has full view of it!

so despite the chilly windy air she wanted to go out for a walk! so i dressed her and got her all strapped it! we went window shopping~ the shoe department has so many cute little shoes that she can fit into! yes, we tried them all on! and she didnt even complain! so after an hour and a half walk i decided to come home....i was beat! here are before and after pictures!

Is every baby this happy?

As I lay in bed tonight I recap my day as I am sure most of you do. I replay the day from begining to end. From the moment I open my eyes in the morning to see her bright eyes and the smile on her face to the moment Sophia closes her eyes at the end of the day. There has not been a day that when Sophia wakes up she is not smiling, even if she wakes up at 3 am hungry! Here is an idea on how our day is started and to how our day ends. Sophia normally goes to bed between 7 and 730 pm and then sleeps through the night ocasionally waking up due to hunger! She wakes up around 6ish eats and either does right back to sleep or decideds to stay up and watch some tv. After she eats I place her in bed with me because Joe is either getting ready for work or leaving for work at that time. So we watch some toons and then both pass out till around 9/9:30ish sometimes if I am lucky 10! I am then awaken by the little sounds she makes...I don't move or open my eyes I just lay there and my heart melts while listening to her I then peek slighty to see her face staring at mine. Once I open my eyes my heart that was melting to her sounds is totally melted by the smile on her face. We then talk to eachother and recently her talks have been the best converstaions I have ever had with someone. The pitch in her voice show the excitment the love she holds in side of her. I then get her bottle and she gobbles it down. After she finishes we stare at the tv some more and then go back to our conversation. We laugh/giggle/stare/smile some more. This goes on for like an 30min sometimes longer like an hour! At this point I either get her ready for a bath or get her wiped down and then we pick out her outfit for the day. As I look through her clothes int hee closet and drawers I hold them up and show them to her. She likes that! No really!! I then put her in her crib to have some "air" time "play" time with her hanging friends! This time allows me to clean up the room some,etc and her time to air the bottom out from that diaper that she was in all night and for her to talk and laugh with her friends! I then dress her. we always stand in front of the mirror and look at what she is wearing. sometimes I need to change it because it just doesn't look right!! She's even let me know! Once were down we step outside and check the weather out, I normally have an understanding on how it will be by the forcast, but it also lets her know! Our mornings are slow! Sometimes a mid afternoon nap is wanted other times watching cartoons is better. She has started making these sounds like the I am bored I want to go for a walk/outside sounds. I then put her little jacket on alog with her shoes and strap her in and then we got out. I used to be able to just go around the block, but she wants more! She loves the outdoors she loves seeing people! Thank goodness the Dollar tree is right down the street! She has become a regular! The other day we went and she even held her on to her bottle cleaner we needed! it was too cute she wouldn't let it go! She used to fall alseep during her walks,but not anymore! Once we finally get back home she eats and then takes ...sometimes takes a nap. Recently she has been staying up the entire day from the time she wakes up in the morning till bed time only taking cat naps afraid she will miss something! I know I know She needs a schedule. Well she has a bed time schedule..which I am very thankfull for especially it being so early! During the day we play alot either with her little friends or we stand infront of the mirror dancing and singing and making funny faces. My new song I sing to her is....he knows if you been bad or good so you better be good for goodness sake! She just cracks up!! Once the night grows she grows sleepy! When I have to work at six Joe is home by then and its his turn they have their on routine!! but if I have off then its either she is swaddled and then put in her crib or she falls asleep on the sofa and I bring her up when we go up. Every day is mostly the same but now that I think about it its different in many ways!! Ha that reminds me of "same difference!" no really every day she is so happy talking laughing but everyday is different whether it be a new tone in her "baby voice"or a larger smile. Whenever I can get on the comp I try and read other people blogs,etc and see how other peoples babies are. I must say not only am I very Thankful I am extremly thankful for this happy baby I have the happy baby that wakes me up every morning with a smile on her face along with mine. And when I go to bed at night I look down at her in her crib and as I am smiling staring at her I see a grin it's like she can feel my presense that I am standing over her. So in the end we both fall alseep smiling and wake up smiling. I am so happy I have such a happy little girl.

After taking a great bath i wrapped her up in her towels and she hung out and dried while talking to her friends while i cleaned up.

Sophia is still the same cute as a button as she has been! nothing really new except for her starting to teeth! last week was I guess you can say was the begining. Although she has been showing signs before then. She has been drooling like crazy going through soo many bibs and sticking her fists in her mouth. along with whinning. last week she had acouple crying/screaming fits so I tried one of those frozen rings and she loved it. it helped. There was one day last week umm wednesday i think it was well she went to bed at 7:05 and woke up around ten to eat and then fell right back to bed and then i had to take her out of her crib at 3:00 in the afternoon!I layed her on my bed for her to wake up and she didnt get up till 3:30! she ate 6 ounces and then another 4! she wasn't smiling like she normally does! i knew something was wrong. thenin her fists went and she was whinning all over again and then she fell back alseep shortly after. before i went to work i gave her some tylenol and then talked to joe later that night and he said she went through her fit again and was only up for two hours the whole night. when icame home from work around 12 she was up and seemed to be better but shortly after i was home she started whinning and drooling,etc again. the next couple of days later were better still some whines her and there and of course fists in mouth and drooling like crazy.

trick or treat

I cant wait to post some pictures hopefully today i will! had such a wonderful day yest! in the early afternoon Sophia dn I went to my parents and spen a couple hours there showing her off and then I came home so joey, sophia and I could do our rounds in the neighborhood before I had to go to work. Sophia was soo good and soo adorable! I cant wait for next year when she will be able to walk around! All the candy she received was yummy!

I had a lot of things I needed to get done in our room so I decided to put her in her crib to hang out while I was doing them. She had a grand old time talking and smiling and laughing with her little friends!

I did it all by myself!!

So if you don't already know..now you know...I never liked giving Sophia a bath by myself! I did it once before and it was okay, but I said to myself if I don't have to do it again I won't! Well, now that Joe and I are both working, him during the day and me at night I knew that bath time by myself was coming! I was hoping that those really good wipe downs would work out, but after two days of doing that she desperatly needed a good wet bath! So after noticing what kind of mood she was in this morning I decided to break out the tub and fill it with some water and get all of her bath supplies ready! She did such a wonderful job! At first I saw the eyes and she started to make some noises almost a cry... but I just pleaded with her and begged her not to cry and that I didn't want to do it either! and that I wuld be done very very soon! By my surprise she calmed down and we went on our bubbly way! Afterward I kinda took my time dressing her and she was getting mad at me! You'll be able to tell in the pictures! But all in all our bath time went swell! Everyday after I dress her we go and stand in the mirror and look at what she looks like. If it looks good she stays inthe outfit if not then we change something!

Not only is Sophia enjoying her bath she is also enjoying her new robe that uncle Brett and Aunt Ashley gave her along with all of her other cute bath goodies!

ohh well another day!

Sophia was supposed to get pictures taken today but the guy who was supposed to take them said there was a mix up in scheduling! oh well another day! She was getting a free picture from the photo people from the hosp since we never ordered the picture that they took when she was born. they said it was a way of advertising!

Sophia has a best friend on the way!

I just got some wonderful news! Danielle and Brian are having a girl!! This is just great! I knew that's what she wanted,but would never admit it!! Congradulations!!!

What a beautiful day in the neighborhood

Now that I took all of her layers off and she took a quick nap she was finally ready for that much needed walk that we have missed out on due to the rain. We ended up being out for an hour and a half that day! And she was up the whole time loving it!
